How to host

  1. List your boat
  2. Wait for reservation requests (you’ll be notified of these via email)
  3. Confirm or deny the reservation
  4. Wait for the confirmation of the service-fee payment (via email &/ in your dashboard)
  5.  Optional: Collect deposit via off-site wire & payment confirmation or accept payment on-site
  6. Look forward to your guests

Why no Wallet?

It’s only for experience listings because long story short, we believe you deserve better!

We’ve opted against a general on-site payment solution at this moment in time because, despite the decision’s lack of glamour, it’s giving some clear-cut benefits:

1. Reduced Transaction Costs

By giving you the opportunity to set your own  listing terms while utilizing offsite payment services, instead of forcing you to pay and be paid through us, or through service providers of our choosing, we are proud to be able to provide you with full financial autonomy topped off with the cherry of low transaction costs. 

2. Flexibility

In letting you opt for the use of offsite payment methods, such as bank transfers, to collect your booking fee or request deposits from guests, you get to choose the best option for you and your business.  It’s no longer necessary for you to wait on the middle-man for payouts that were yours to begin with. No need for third-party resolution centres, or lengthy support hassles over disputed payments standing between you and your earnings, because when you’re the king/queen of the cashflow, you’re completely in charge of overseeing payments & deposits.

Experiences are paid through us, incurring a 15 % fee, deducted from your payout, whereas general listings only incur a reservation fee to be paid by the guest through the site . This allows you the freedom to chose your payment provider.

3. Streamlined Finances:

Financial management & accounting is easier when everything is already in your account. No delays, no inconveniences, no waiting for payments to go through.

4. Immediate Access to Funds

With payments going directly to your bank account, paypal account, or the account of your choosing, there’ll be absolutely no delay. For those of us relying on real-time cash-flow, that’s a rare luxury seldomly found on the market.

5. Privacy & Security

Your business stays your business, when you get to choose your payment method.  

For Guests

1. Request your booking

Note:  You’ll receive an email notification when the host confirms availability for your requested dates.

2. Wait for your host to confirm

3. Pay the service fee within 24 hours

Note:  Your reservation will be cancelled if you don’t pay through the site within 24 hours of confirmation. 
We won’t stand between your booking payment and your vacation. The host decides the terms of the booking payment, and payment for the booking itself is made offsite in accordance with your correspondence with the host. Paying the service fee through us is essential to securing your booking reservation, as unpaid service fees for a booking result in the automatic cancellation of the booking for you and the host. 

4. Enjoy your Stay or Cancel

Note: Cancellation is generally available up to 24 hours before the check-in. Some hosts may have stricter cancellation and or deposit policies in place for their listing. Check with your host, if something is unclear to you.

The terms of payment vary from host to host. Check your listing or write them a quick message if you’re unsure of what to do !
